Braided Lattice Bun

Hi friends,

     Today I fixed my hair in a style similar to my Thanksgiving Day 2016 hairstyle, but with a few more accent braids than my original version.  First I sectioned off the lower half of my hair, and put the top half into a high bun.  Then I made accent braids with my loose hair, and woven them under and over each other like lattice.  I wrapped the ends of my braids around my bun, and pinned them in place with bobby pins.  I love this hairstyle, even if it takes some extra time and attention to detail.  Thank you for coming to see!

Pink Flower High Bun

Hello everyone,

     A sweet friend made this beautiful hair decoration just for me, such a lovely surprise.  She used craft tape and wire for the frame, and made the flowers out of pantyhose.  How creative!  It is the perfect size for accenting a big bun, which is how I wore my hair today.

     Last night before washing my hair, I mixed together 2 tablespoons honey and 2 tablespoons coconut oil, and applied the sticky mixture to my hair from the ends to the roots.  I put my hair up in a bun to let the honey-coconut mask soak in, then washed my hair as usual, being sure to rinse out the honey-coconut mask before C-W-C with my favorite shampoo and conditioner.  I love how the honey and coconut worked together to condition my hair and give it that extra shine <3

Mix and Match

Hi friends,

     Tomorrow is New Year's Eve!  A brand new year is always so fresh and exciting.  And exciting news...I am heading home to my islands!  It has been fun to visit family and friends in America for a few months, but there is after all no place like home <3

     Yesterday I fixed my hair in a mix and match style of a high rope braid bun, and a low braided ponytail.  I love using my favorite small hair clips in styles like this one.  Have a beautiful day, and a wonderful new year!  Thank you for following my hair posts, I love sharing with you all.

Christmas Eve Angel Hairstyle

Merry Christmas Eve, my friends <3

     This evening I went to the Christmas Eve service at church with friends.  I was wearing my new white dress, so I tried to fix my hair in a Christmas Angel style.  First I made a small rope braided bun on top of my head, and wrapped a glittery headband around my bun like a halo.  Then I braided the rest of my loose hair and wore it over one shoulder.

An especially fancy bun for Thanksgiving

     Today is Thanksgiving!  I fixed my hair in a style I saw online, with five braids interwoven below a high bun.  I love this look, and so did my family and friends who saw my hair today :-)
