Swiss girl updo

Hi friends,

I hope you have a lovely new week!  Today I wore my favorite blue sweater dress, which has a Swiss feel to me.  So I tried to fix my hair in a style to match, which ended up being double Dutch braids and a side fishtail bun.  Thank you for coming to see my new post!

 

Woven Fishtail Braid, a new style

     This morning I watched a YouTube video by "aurorabraids" on Instagram, and learned a new technique.  I love the wide, intricate look this braid has.  It took me a few times of watching the opening steps to understand how to make this braid, but once I got started it was actually easy to do.  I hope you enjoy this new look like I did :-)

Dutch/Fishtail Side Ponytail

Hi everyone,

I think I have discovered the absolute best hairstyle for my hair, one that I will definitely repeat over and over again. I combed my hair to one side, and parted off a section behind my bangs. I braided this hair into a side Dutch braid. Then I fastened all my hair into a side ponytail, and tugged gently on the edges of my Dutch braid to give it a blossom look. I braided my ponytail in a fishtail braid, and wrapped my braid up once, using the very end of my braid to hide the base of my ponytail.

Lasso Bun

Hi everyone,

Maybe instead I should say, howdy!  Today I divided my hair into two sections, then put the top section into a high bun.  I braided the lower section in a fishtail braid, then brought my braid up and wrapped it around my bun several times.  The fishtail braid looks like a rope lassoing my bun :-)  I think Woody and Jessie would approve of this hairstyle.
