2016 Victorian Updo

Hi friends,

     My hairstyle today had a Victorian flare, with several 4-strand braids combined to make a low ponytail, and a fishtail braid accent.  I love my new crochet-accent shirt, such a nice look for fall weather.

Woven Fishtail Braid, a new style

     This morning I watched a YouTube video by "aurorabraids" on Instagram, and learned a new technique.  I love the wide, intricate look this braid has.  It took me a few times of watching the opening steps to understand how to make this braid, but once I got started it was actually easy to do.  I hope you enjoy this new look like I did :-)

Braided Updo

     I was up late last night looking at braided hairstyles on Instagram.  What an amazing source of ideas!  My look today was loosely based on a few looks I saw in pictures, several three-strand braids above a big low bun.  I used hair clips to hold my hair in place.

Happy Halloween from Rapunzel and Pascal

Happy Halloween!  How fun to dress up as Rapunzel and pass out candy to the boys and girls who came trick-or-treating in my friends' neighborhood.  One of the little girls was dressed as Rapunzel, and I met several Queen Elsa's.  So sweet <3
