Southern Cross Hairstyle

Hello friends,

Happy Sunday :-)  Today I wanted to use the beautiful hairclips that I got as a gift from a friend in Germany.  I ended up using them as side accents to this hairstyle, and the overall effect reminded me of the Southern Cross which appears in the sky over my island <3
To make this hairstyle, I basically made a series of small buns to one side of my head and pinned them in place with hairpins and bobby pins.  For the last section of hair, instead of making a bun I made a braid.  I took this braid and wrapped it up and around my row of buns, pinning it in place as I liked.  I added a jewel clip to one side to emphasize the side-swept look, then added the three star clips as accents on my smooth hair.
This hairstyle lasts forever!  After a long, windblown day there is literally not a hair out of place.  I even contemplated sleeping on my side so I could wear my hair like this again tomorrow :-)

Chic Saturday~ a rope braid high bun

Hi friends,

Today I fixed my hair in a trendy high bun, made with a rope braid.  This hairstyle is fun and easy, perfect for a sunny Saturday :-)

Accent French braids~ my look today

Hi friends,

This morning I fixed my hair in three small French braids, each one gradually larger than the other, and added a side bun.  My favorite wooden earrings and my bun look a little bit alike :-)

Loose Bun

Hi friends,

How exciting to share my new hairstyle video with you earlier today :-)  Later this morning, I washed my hair, combed it out and put it up in a loose bun.  I made this bun like I make my Rey triple knots, except I didn't use an elastic and only made one bun.  My hair stayed in place all day long, and did not get tangled.  This is a fun way to wear your hair when it is still wet.
Thank you for coming to see my pictures!  I hope you have a beautiful day.

My new tutorial video on YouTube~ Princess Tiara Bun

Hi everyone,

A friend who follows my posts asked me to do a hairstyle video on the "Pink Lace" high bun I shared earlier this week.  My video is now available on YouTube!  Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy.

"Happy 4th of July" hair (and sunglasses!)

Hi friends,

Happy 4th of July :-)  I finally get to wear my favorite new sunglasses, hurray!  I hope that all my American friends have a wonderful time celebrating this special occasion.
My hairstyle is a copy of a look I saw in a Facebook video.  I made a zig-zag center part at the front, then separated sections of hair out on both sides.  Instead of making princess-style lace braids, I made French braids.  I put the hair in the center section into a low ponytail and braided it.  Then I wrapped all three braids into a low bun, and added small hair clips and a patriotic hair bow.  Thank you for coming to see my pictures!  Wimsey says hello, too :-)

Pink Lace

Hi friends,

A rainy morning?  That's okay, I can take hair pictures in my room where there is always a blue sky and beautiful pink flowers :-)  My new hairband just matched my dress, so I put my hair into a high bun and wrapped the headband around the front of my bun.  I added a matching flower clip to the back of my bun.  It's fun to come up with different ways to use headbands, since my hair is too long to use them in the traditional way very often.

Two is twice as nice as one

Hi friends,      I hope you had a lovely weekend!  This hairstyle is so quick and easy, and I always love double buns :-)  I added the poo...
